VSA Amsterdam goes Veggieworld + Borrel
Time & Location
About the Event
🌱 VeggieWorld, Europe’s largest consumer fair for the vegan lifestyle, is coming soon! This year, it is special for us, as the founders of the first Vegan Student Associations (VSA) in the Netherlands will be giving a talk on 29 February at 17:15 on how to veganize your own university and how to create a community of vegans motivated to create plant-powered change!
🚌 We’re organising a joint trip to Utrecht, so if you’d like to join us, send us a message and we’ll put you in a common group chat where we’ll discuss all the details.
🎤 Description of the talk: Alicja Jelenska (VSA Groningen), Apolónia Drábová (VSA Amsterdam) and Elena Freudenberg (VSA Nijmegen) will walk you through what it means to build a Vegan Student Association, why we need more of them and how to tackle a challenging project like this. They will share the story of how it all started in Groningen, what the initial idea and motivation was and how things took off since then. Expect to leave this talk with practical information on how to proceed if you want to become an officially registered association and a look behind the scenes of the VSAs that are already up and running. After the talk, there will be a Q&A session for all the burning questions you still have.
🍻 And if afterwards you feel like getting to know the different VSAs and their members better, join us for drinks! You can either walk with us after the talk or meet us at Oproer Brouwerij (11min walk from VeggieWorld) at 18:45!
💚 We are looking forward to seeing you there!
