Warm breakfast is a great option for these cold mornings. A benefit of this breakfast (or even lunch or dinner, it is all up to you!) is the enjoyment of the egg-ish flavor while knowing that it is vegan!
The recipe will take you 20-25 minutes max and it is super easy!
You will need:
100g of chickpea flour
230ml of water
Bit of salt
Bit of turmeric (for the color)
Bit of sweet paprika powder
Bit of chive
10g of ground flaxseeds
Bit of Kala Manak salt (important - for the egg-ish taste)
4 halves of bread
Plant-based cheese that melts (optional)
Mix the chickpea flour with salt, turmeric, paprika powder, ground flax seeds, chive and Kala Manak salt. Add water to the mixture and mix it. If it is too thick, add more water.
On medium heat, add oil to a pan. Put each half of bread into the mixture and make sure it sticks to every part of the bread. Fry one side of the bread for a few minutes and then turn it around and add plant-based cheese on the already-fried side.
After the bread is done, sprinkle it with a bit of Kala Manak salt and serve it with ketchup.
