Your vegan mentor

Want to become vegan but not sure how?
Join the VSA Amsterdam mentoring program

Many students aspire to be vegan but need some support in making this transition: they might not know how to replace animal products in their diet or they don’t have support from their friends. They don't know anyone sharing their concerns, and need someone to talk to.

VSA Amsterdam is willing to connect vegan students and students who are interested in becoming vegan. Our mentoring program is a project connecting students in Amsterdam who are interested in becoming vegan with vegan mentors who are willing to support them in their transition and make veganism easier for students

I need a mentor

What if you're not a student or live far from Amsterdam?

In that case you can join the worldwide Vegan Mentor Program created by Vegan Outreach, by which this program is inspired, and we thank for their advice.

How does VSA view reducing meat consumption?

VSA Amsterdam is happy to welcome every student interested in and curious about veganism.

However, we want to make it clear that the ultimate goal of the VSA Amsterdam is advocating veganism, not reducing meat consumption. Still, we see vegetarians and flexitarians as allies in helping to make veganism more accessible for everyone, so we're happy to welcome everyone.

Why should I become a vegan?

You can read about reasons for veganism on the Vegan Society’s website and check our blog for our personal stories.
